Arabian Cement Co (ACC) registered a revenue for the 2Q21 of SAR233m (US$62m), a YoY increase of 66.9 per cent. Premium Cement Mills' plant manager in Charmukterpur, Munshiganj, Bangladesh, has been jailed for six months after violating COVID-19 restrictions by keeping the factory operating despite ongoing restrictions. Bangladesh's cement industry has earned export revenue of US$7.26m in the last fiscal year (July 2020-June 2021), compared to US$9.14m in the year-ago period, a fall of 20.6 per cent YoY.
