Saudi cement sales fell by 18.7 per cent YoY in the first five months of this year to 22.6Mt, while clinker output was down 11.3 per cent, according to the Saudi Cement Sector Monthly by Al Rajhi Capital. Vietnam sold 33.27Mt of cement in the first five months of this year, an increase of six per cent YoY, fulfilling 41.58 per cent of the whole-year target, the country's Ministry of Construction said. Argentina saw a 18.1 per cent MoM drop to 845,690t in dispatches (including exports) in April but noted a 10.7 per cent rise YoY, according to the country’s Portland Cement Manufacturers’ Association. Pakistan dispatched 33.88Mt of cement during the first 10 months (July-April) of the current fiscal, up by 6.21 per cent YoY, latest figures from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) show. Cement sales in Brazil during the first quarter of 2017 declined by eight per cent YoY to 12.9Mt, according to the latest data from Sindicato Nacional da Indústria do Cimento (SNIC). Cement sales in Pakistan increased by seven per cent YoY in the first nine months of the current fiscal to reach 30.304Mt, latest data from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) reveals. Pakistan's cement dispatches in August 2016 stood at 3.585Mt, 16.75 per cent higher than dispatches of 3.071Mt recorded during the same month of previous fiscal year, according to the data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). Vietnam’s clinker and cement sales climbed 15 per cent from a year earlier to 6.62Mt in January, the Ministry of Construction said.
