Pakistan achieved record monthly sales in July, increasing by 44 per cent YoY to 3.382Mt during the month led by robust growth in domestic demand. Pakistan cement producers recorded a mixed performance in total dispatches for FY17 as a double-digit decline in exports was witnessed. Pakistan dispatched 40.315Mt of cement of during fiscal year 2016-17, up 3.71 per cent YoY, the latest data from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) shows. Saudi cement sales fell by 18.7 per cent YoY in the first five months of this year to 22.6Mt, while clinker output was down 11.3 per cent, according to the Saudi Cement Sector Monthly by Al Rajhi Capital. Vietnam sold 33.27Mt of cement in the first five months of this year, an increase of six per cent YoY, fulfilling 41.58 per cent of the whole-year target, the country's Ministry of Construction said.
