Pakistan cement manufacturers in the first quarter of this fiscal year, July - September 2017 dispatched 10.348Mt of cement – a new record. Cement sales in Brazil for the first eight months of 2017 fell by eight per cent YoY to 35.7Mt, according to preliminary industry data gathered by Sindicato Nacional da Indústria do Cimento (SNIC). Domestic cement sales in Brazil fell by 10.5 per cent in July 2017 to 4.7Mt compared to July 2016, according to data from SNIC, Brazil's national cement industry association. Saudi Arabia’s cement sales volumes have dropped by 19 per cent YoY to 28.3Mt during the first seven months of 2017, a report from Al Rajhi Capital reveals. Cement sales of companies operating in Saudi Arabia recorded an increase of 11.53 per cent in July 2017. Sales rose to 3.49Mt in July 2017, compared to 3.13Mt during the same month of the previous year. Pakistan achieved record monthly sales in July, increasing by 44 per cent YoY to 3.382Mt during the month led by robust growth in domestic demand. Pakistan cement producers recorded a mixed performance in total dispatches for FY17 as a double-digit decline in exports was witnessed. Pakistan dispatched 40.315Mt of cement of during fiscal year 2016-17, up 3.71 per cent YoY, the latest data from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) shows.
