Domestic demand buoys Pakistan dispatches in first 10 months

A total of 29Mt of cement was dispatched during the first 10 months (July 2014 - April 2015) of the current Pakistan versus 28Mta in the same period of last year due to a rise in domestic demand, the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) said. Colombian cement market expands 4.4 % in April

In April 2015 there was a 4.4 per cent YoY rise in cement dispatches in Colombia. Some 0.999Mt of grey cement reached domestic customers, according to the latest figures by the national statistics service, DANE. Australian construction materials group Adelaide Brighton says cement and clinker product sales volumes should be "similar to or greater than" levels in the prior year. State-owned Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem), the country’s leading cement producer, said it sold about 2.24Mt of cement and clinker in April, down 3.1 per cent from a year ago. Ecuador sees decline in monthly sales

Ecuador cement sales declined fell to 468,432t compared to 504,682t in the month before, latest data from domestic cement association Inecyc reveals. The decline follows a 15.68 per cent MoM increase in March. Cumulative sales over the first four months of 2015 reached 1.913Mt, the statistics show.

Philippine cement sales grew 9.6 per cent in the first quarter from a year ago to 5.7Mt, latest statistics from the Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (CeMAP) show. PT Semen Padang, part of the Semen Indonesia group of companies, reported a 6.8 per cent decrease in sales volumes in the first quarter of this year to 1.5Mt. Saudi cement sales for the month of February 2015 were 6.5 per cent higher than in February 2013 and 9.7 per cent higher than February 2014 when the market was impacted by a labour shortage caused by a government immigration crackdown, according to new research from NCB Capital.
