Polish monthly sales rise

Polish cement sales rose by 15.4 per cent YoY in January 2015 to 638,500t, according to the country’s cement association, Stowarzyszenie Producentów Cementu (SPC). Production during the first month of the year, however, declined by 0.1 per cent to 520,000t, the data shows. Last year, domestic production increased by 6.8 per cent YoY to 15.4Mt, with sales during the period rising by 6.6 per cent.

Pakistan dispatches rise 9.5% in first seven months

Pakistan cement dispatches over the first seven months of the current fiscal increased by 6.18 per cent to 20.22Mt compared with 18.86Mt in the same period of the previous year, boosted by local sales. Ecuador 2014 sales down 2%

Ecuador cement sales dipped in 2014 to 6.47Mt, down two per cent from the 6.60Mt recorded in the previous year, latest data from domestic cement association INECYC shows . Last year's decline follows three consecutive years of annual sales growth in the Latin American country from 2011 to 2013. During December 2014, monthly sales rose 4.85 per cent to 557,786t compared to November 2014 (532,009t).

Philippine full-year cement sales up 9.6%

Philippine cement sales increased by 9.6 per cent YoY in 2014, Ernesto M Ordonez, president of the Cement Manufacturers’ Association of the Philippines (CeMAP), confirms. State-owned Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) sales rose by 3.2 per cent from a year ago and exceeded the year’s target by 5.7 per cent boosted by higher exports. For the full year, the country’s leading cement producer sold approximately 24.64Mt of cement and clinker. Saudi Arabian cement sales in December 2014 rose 17 per cent YoY to 5.59Mt from 4.79Mt in the same month of the year before, latest statistics published by domestic producer Yamama Cement Co reveal. Full year Polish cement production increased 6.8 per cent YoY in 2014 to 15.4Mt, according to the country's cement association. Cement production edged up by 1.9 per cent YoY to 861,7000t in December, while sales were ahead by 805,800t, Poland's Cement Producer Association said in a statement.
