Holcim US Inc is proposing the construction of a 10MW solar power plant on a 120-acre section of its property just south of Antietam Creek, near its cement plant in Hagerstown (MD), USA, according to reports in the Herald Mail-Media. Pontotoc County Treasurer, Glenda Gonderman, notified commissioners Monday of a property tax refund totalling US$141,449 issued to Holcim US Inc. Holcim US Inc is planning to invest US$100m to modernise its Ada cement works which will see an increase in capacity at the Oklahoma-based plant.
