UltraTech commissions second grinding unit in Dhar

India’s UltraTech Cement has commissioned its second 1.75Mta grinding facility at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, with the first entering operation in April 2018. The new plant increases the company’s total manufacturing capacity to 92.5Mta and with further ongoing expansion projects this is expected to rise to 96.5Mta in the future.

Pakistan Cement industry export revenue rises 9% in May

According to Pakistan's Federal Bureau of Statistics, the Pakistan cement industry earned a foreign exchange revenue of US$20.78m by exporting 446,741t of cement in May 2018 compared to US$19.147m on 404,898t of cement in previous month. India’s cement producers, along with other sectors such as the captive power industry, will be able to take part in the fourth auction round of coal linkages, Coal India Ltd (CIL) announced.
