Steppe Cement Ltd recorded 11 per cent revenue growth in 2022 to KZT40m (US$86,560) from KZT36m a year earlier, citing positive market conditions as it focussed on the Kazakh domestic market. The family of Javier del Ser Perez, chief executive officer at Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement , has increased its share in the company. Kazakhstan's Steppe Cement Ltd has posted a nine per cent YoY increase in revenue in the 3Q22. Revenue came in at KZT13,071m (US$27.7m) compared to KZT12,045m in the same period last year. In the 9M22, revenue was KZT32,651m, up 13 per cent YoY from KZT28,812m in the 9M21.  The company sold 546,327t of cement in the 3Q22, up two per cent YoY. Steppe Cement has announced a consolidated profit after tax of US$10.2m for the six months ended 30 June 2022, up 65 per cent YoY. Steppe Cement sold 837,063t of cement in the first half of 2022, compared to 840,661t in the same period a year earlier. While volumes remained stable, turnover over the same period improved by 18 per cent from KZT16,657m (US$35.1m) to KZT19,579m. Kazakhstan-based Steppe Cement sold 281,968t of cement for KZT6.299m in the first quarter of 2022. This brings the company’s market share to 13.7 per cent in the 1Q22 from 13.2 per cent in the 1Q21. Kazakh cement producer Steppe Cement saw its revenue increase 16 per cent to KZT36.02bn (US$82.7m) in 2021 as it sold 1,688,544t of cement, up from the 1,645,744t reported in 2020. The company’s domestic market share was 13.9 per cent. Exports fell by 57.2 per cent to 86,500t from 202,000t in 2020. Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has recorded an 8.5 per cent YoY rise in revenue to KZT12.05bn (US$28.33m) in the third quarter of 2021, compared to KZT11.11bn in the year-ago period. The company also saw sales volume for the period fall four per cent YoY to 535,200t. In the first nine months of 2021, revenue advanced 16 per cent to KZT28.81bn while sales volumes climbed four per cent to 1,375,464t.

Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has seen its cement sales volumes rise 10 per cent YoY to 840,661t in the first half of 2021, compared to 764,752t in the first six months of last year.
