Saudi Cement Co has acquired a 37 per cent stake in United Cement Industrial Co (UCIC) for SAR28m (US$330,426), as announced in Saudi Cement’s 2Q21 company report. Chinese producers report declines in net profit

Three China-based cement producers have reported declines in net profit and operating revenue for 2012. China Shanshui Cement reported a 31.8 per cent decline in net profit to CNY1.52bn during the year. Operating profit slid 4.2 per cent YoY to CNY16.16bn, with basic earnings per share of CNY0.54. Control of Bekabadcement transferred, Uzbekistan

Control over producer Bekabadcement has been transferred from industrial holding United Cement Group (UCG) to the Uzbek State Committee for State Property Management, a regional media report. "The Supervisory Board of Bekabadcement has decided to include in the register of shareholders of Uzbekistan State Property Committee, which holds 51.53 per cent stake," the report said.
