Indonesia's cement demand fell 9.7 percent to 17,499,807t in the 3Q20 from 19,384,326t in the 3Q19, according to the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI). The decline in domestic cement consumption was mitigated by a 62.4 per cent surge in exports, which increased to 3,128,985t in the 3Q20 from 19,384,326t in the year-ago period. Cement and clinker exports from Indonesia rose 15.4 per cent to 648,354t in November 2019, according to figures published by Semen Indonesia. In November 2018 exports totalled 561,950t. Azerbaijan’s Gazakh cement plant exported about 253,000t of clinker to Georgia in January-August 2019, according to Turan. Pakistan’s cement export revenue for the first 10 months of the current fiscal observed a YoY growth of 30.9 per cent and 52.3 per cent in terms of dollar value and quantity, respectively, according to Pakistan's Bureau of Statistics (PBS). Vietnamese exports have risen 15.2 per cent in volume and 36.3 per cent in value for February 2019, rising to around 2.5Mt and US$105m, respectively.
