Hranice sees 12% increase in 2020 profit

Czech cement producer Cement Hranice, owned by Germany-based Dyckerhoff AG, saw its profit rise 12.1 per cent YoY to CZK561.5m (US$26.2m) in 2020 on sales of CZK1.797bn, up 1.2 per cent YoY. CI4C consortium makes progress with carbon capture project

The pilot project "catch4climate", for which four cement manufacturers have joined forces, is set to capture CO 2 at the site of the Mergelstetten cement plant in southern Germany. Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine sees 414% surge in profit

Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine has reported a 414.2 per cent surge in profit to UAH814.27m (US$32.7m) for 2019, against UAH158.36m in the previous year, according to the Ukrainian News Agency. The company’s total assets as of the end of 2019 also increased by 8.7 per cent YoY to UAH2.65bn.

Cement Hranice reported a 6.3 per cent YoY sales increase to CZK1.569bn (US$74.6m) in 2017 from CZK1.476bn in the previous year. Dyckerhoff to acquire Portland Zement Seibel und Söhne GmbH & Co

Dyckerhoff, owned by Italian company Buzzi-Unicem, has announced the acquisition of independent German cement producer Portland Zement Seibel und Söhne GmbH & Co, more commonly known as “der böse Seibel” (Seibel the bad), reports CM-CIC Market Solutions.

Ukraine: Dyckerhoff Cement losses increase five-fold

Preliminary figures indicate that in 2016, Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine, part of Dyckerhoff AG, increased its loss by UAH66m (US$2.46m) to UAH80.82m. The company's assets as of late 2016 were UAH2.16bn, long-term liabilities were UAH2.69bn and current liabilities were UAH483.96m. Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine reported a loss of UAH14.82m for 2015.

Luxembourg: worker killed at Rumelange plant

A worker has been killed after falling into a grinder at Cimalux’s Rumelange plant, reports the Luxemburger Wort. The plant is a subsidiary of the Dyckerhoff Group, which in turn is owned by Buzzi Unicem, and produces clinker for plants in Luxembourg and Germany. The worker, who has not been named, is a 59-year-old French citizen who was pronounced dead on the scene. An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.

Ukraine: Yugcement reports 1Q16 losses of US$11.75m

The Yugcement company (Olshanske, Mykolaiv region) reported loss of UAH298.228m (US$11.75m) for 2015, having upped its net revenue by 14.8 per cent or UAH 80.84m YoY to UAH626.167m. As of 2015, assets of the company made up UAH833.98m, current liabilities UAH162.838m and accounts receivable UAH21.336m. Yugcement  cement is a part of the Dyckerhoff Ukraine company managing three plants for cement production and packaging in Ukraine.
