Ohorongo signs local packaging deal11 July 2018, Published under Cement NewsNamibia’s Ohorongo Cement has awarded the contract for the supply of 1.2m bags by the end of August to Kaptau Packaging. Kaptau Packaging is reported to be the first Namibian company to produce cement bags. Previously, Ohorongo Cement imported its bags from neighbouring South Africa. The packaging company currently produces the bags in Oshakati, where it employs 25 permanent staff. |

Paraguay: cement price predicted to fall 15% in 201619 August 2015, Published under Cement NewsFollowing the fuel conversion at Industria Nacional de Cemento’s Villeta plant in Paraguay, its CEO, Jorge Méndez, said he expects up to a 15 per cent drop in the price of cement in 2016.
