Thailand-based Siam Cement Group (SCG) has developed a new low-carbon cement that has lowered emissions by 15-20 per cent. According to SCG, the new product is better or stronger than regular Portland cement and was achieved using clean energy sources and waste heat generated during production, resulting in a 38 per cent reduction in energy consumption. The Completion Commission of India (CCI) has approved UltraTech Cement ’s proposed acquisition of Kesoram Cement Business , the cement arm of Indian conglomerate Kesoram Industries Ltd . PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk has posted net sales of IDR12,371bn (US$798m) in 2023, marginally up from the IDR12,262bn seen in the previous year. Net income in 2023 came in at IDR894,645m, also marking an advance YoY compared to IDR839,276m in 2022.
