Effect of Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) in Clinker manufacture
Can any body share the the effect of high H2S in clinker production as well as effects on coating / refractory / choking of cyclones and effect on surrounding environments due to emission of this gases.
Can Crude oils having 60 ppm of H2S be used in Cement process??

The
H2S will be oxidised to sulphate and can contribute to problems of coating,
cyclone choking, high free lime, dusty clinker. It depends on the alkali
balance in the kiln. H2S is a highly toxic gas and should not be emitted to the
atmosphere. There is danger of death if sour gas leaks to
atmosphere.
