A joint Tajikistan and Chinese enterprise is to start commissioning of its 1Mta cement plant at the end of this month, a spokesperson for the Tajikistan's Ministry of Energy and Industry (MoEI) has said.

The joint venture, called Huaxin Ghayur Cement, has been constructed in the Yovon district, Khatlon province, Tajikistan.

“The construction of the plant has practically been completed and it just remains to complete the commissioning process,” the official MoEI source said.
