Polish cement sales were 40 per cent higher in February 2014 than a year ago, latest data from the Polish Cement Association (SPC) shows.

Sales hit 1.29Mt as favourable weather and signs of a construction recovery boosted results.

Cement production went up 33.7 per cent in February compared to the respective month of last year to reach 1.14Mt.

This year, cement sales are expected to reach 15-15.2Mt. (Source: Polish News Bulletin)
