Pakistan cement sales increased by 8.87 per cent to 8.197Mt during the first four months of the current fiscal year, latest data by All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) shows.
In July-October, exports of cement decreased 4.43 per cent to 2.79Mt over the same period last fiscal year.
Cement factories in the North Zone dispatched 6.872Mt during the July-October period, up 10.4 per cent YoY. Exports from the north, however, declined by 12.3 per cent to 1.742Mt. Cement factories in the southern region sold 1.307Mt, up 1.4 per cent YoY. Exports increased by 12.5 percent to 1.048Mt in July-October, while domestic dispatches reached 2.094Mt compared with 1.973Mt in the comparative period of last year.
