Indonesian cement producers have seen a 4.7 per cent uptick in clinker exports to 568,819t in April 2020 when compared with clinker export sales of 543,441t reported in April 2019, according to the country’s cement association, ASI. Cement demand in Indonesia declined 6.8 per cent to 4.817Mt in March 2020 when compared with 5.166Mt in March 2019, according to the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI). Exports of cement from Indonesia have fallen by 49.8 per cent YoY to 55,769t in March 2020 when compared with March 2019 when cement exports reached 111,065t, according to data released by ASI, the country’s cement association. Cement consumption in Indonesia remained largely stable at 6,728,921t in September 2019 when compared with September 2018, according to the latest data by the country’s cement association, ASI. Total cement deliveries by Indonesian cement producers advanced 2.6 per cent in the first two months of 2019 to 11.216Mt when compared with 10.93Mt in the 2M18, according to the latest data from the Indonesian Cement Association, ASI. Indonesia’s cement consumption advanced by 4.8 per cent YoY to 69,565,129t in 2018 from 66,349,944t, according to the preliminary data of the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI). According to the Chairman of the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI), Widodo Santoso, national cement consumption is expected to grow by 8.04 per cent in 2017, reaching 68Mt.
