Cinvestav produce cement using volcanic ash06 June 2019, Published under Cement NewsScientists at Mexico’s Centre for Research and Advanced Studies (Cinvestav) are using volcanic ash to make environmentally-friendly cement. First tests have shown that cement formulations that work contain up to 80 per cent of volcanic material, without the need for high-temperature kilns.
