Crown Cement appoints new CEO27 September 2019, Published under Cement NewsCrown Cement Group of Bangladesh has appointed Mukter Hossain Talukder as its new chief executive officer (CEO). Mr Talukder was previously the group's chief operating officer. Talukder also served Aman Group, Rangs Group and Social Marketing Company in key positions. He obtained a master's degree on accounting and information science from the University of Dhaka. He is also a fellow chartered accountant of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. |

Clinker vessel salvage delay30 August 2019, Published under Cement NewsA vessel carrying clinker which capsized in the Meghan River at Birbir, Bangaldesh on Tuesday could not be immediately salvaged. The MV Tanvir Tousib-2 was anchored at Birbir on the high-tide but was struck by another vessel, the Bashundhara Food-1. The MV Tanvir Tousib-2 was carrying clinker to Dhaka.
