FLSmidth commissions Çimsa cooler

FLSmidth recently commissioned the new Cross-Bar ®  cooler at Çimsa ’s Eskisehir plant in Turkey.  The project was a retrofit conversion of an SF Cooler complete with wave grates and ABC ® Inlet, which will increase the cooler’s capacity from 1800tpd to 2300tpd. The Cross-Bar cooler also benefits from a low total cost of ownership, thanks to its efficient operation and low maintenance demands, claims FLSmidth.

Cimsa , part of Sabanci Holdings , has reached agreement to acquire 94.7 per cent of Ireland-based cement producer Mannok for an overall enterprise value of   EUR330m. EBRD finances Çimsa's decarbonisation programme

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a EUR25m loan to Turkey’s  Çimsa  to finance the cement company’s decarbonisation investment programme. Enerjisa Enerji and ÇIMSA ( Sabanci Group ) have selected CTP Team and CTN Group to implement a waste heat recovery system (WHRS) at the cement producer's  Eskisehir plant  in Turkey. Portland Cement Association (PCA) has announced new leadership for its board of directors. Massimo Toso has been elected chairman of the PCA. One of Turkey's largest conglomerates Sabancı Holding and Turkish cement manufacturer Çimsa have agreed to establish a grey cement grinding plant in the USA with an investment of US$82m (TRY2.2bn). Çimsa 's subsidiary Afyon Çimento increased its turnover in 2021 by 53 per cent compared to the previous year, from TRY270m (US$19.5m) to TRY413m.
