Dominican Rep cement demand slips two per cent YoY in 1H1730 August 2017, Published under Cement NewsCement consumption in the Dominican Republic fell by two per cent to 2,089,935t in the first half of 2017, according to the country’s cement association, Adocem. In 1H16 demand reached 2,132,312t. Local cement sales increased 5.5 per cent in value to RDS8.516bn. Output rose 0.5 per cent from 2,599,031t in 1H16 to 2,612,099t in 1H17. The cement producer is looking for a company that can build and operate its new 13MW solar power plant and sell the output to Cemex.
