Eastern Province Cement sees 52% drop in 1Q profits

Saudi Arabian cement producer Eastern Province Cement Co reported a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR29m (US$7.7m) in the 1Q22, down 51.7 per cent YoY. Revenues declined 25.8 per cent YoY to SAR161m in the 1Q22 from SAR217m.

Eastern Province Cement records 5% rise in profit

Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province Cement has announced a five per cent increase in net profit to SAR122m (US$32.53m) in the first half of 2021, against SAR116m in the 1H20. Sales also rose 12.8 per cent YoY to SAR429m from SAR380m. In the second quarter of the year, profits advanced 106 per cent YoY to SAR62m while revenue climbed 45 per cent to SAR212m.

Eastern Province Cement posts 19% rise in profit

Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province Cement reported a net profit of SAR43m (US$11.47m) in the 3Q20, rising 19.4 per cent YoY from SAR36m in the year-ago period. However, the company's revenues declined by 8.6 per cent to SAR159m from SAR174m in the 3Q19. During the first nine months of 2020, the company's net profits rose 38.6 per cent YoY to SAR158m from SAR114m in the corresponding period of 2019. Its revenues also advanced 4.9 per cent to SAR539m against SAR514m in the 9M19.

Eastern Province Cement reports 35% fall in net profit

Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province Cement Co has reported a 34.6 per cent YoY profit decline after zakat and tax, falling to SAR70m (US$18.66m) from SAR107m of 2017. The company attributed the decrease to a drop in sales of cement, precast concrete and higher zakat provisions, according to a statement to the country’s stock exchange. In the 4Q18 profit surged 225 per cent YoY to SAR26m, compared to SAR8m of the previous year.

Saudi Arabia: Eastern Province Cement Q2 profits fall 46%

Eastern Province Cement Company’s net profits dropped 46.2 per cent YoY to SAR50m (US$13.3m) in 2Q16, compared to SAR93m (US$24m) in the same period in 2015.This decrease is attributed to lower operating profit, lower sales as local demand weakens and higher production costs. The company’s profits also fell 23 per cent in the first half of 2016 to SAR137m (US$36.5m) compared to profits of SAR178m (US$47.4m) in the first half of 2015.

Saudi: Eastern Province Cement Co begins trial operations of new mill

Eastern Province Cement Co has commenced trial operations of its new 150tph cement mill, with commercial operations set to begin in the second quarter of this year, according to a bourse statement issued Monday. The Saudi cement producer added that the relevant financial impact is difficult to be set at this stage as it depends on market supply and demand.

Eastern Province Cement (EPC) is to launch commercial production at a new cement mill in April 2015. The construction of the grinding unit, with a capacity of 150tph, will be completed in October 2014, officials said yesterday. Saudi cement producer Eastern Province Cement Company (EPCC) reported a 9.7 per cent reduction in first-half 2013 net profit due to lower sales, higher production costs and maintainance work carried out during the second quarter.
