In July and August 2016, the first two months of FY16-17, Pakistan cement producers exported 1.01Mt of cement and earned export revenue of US$52.77m compared to 1.032Mt at US$59.60m in July-Aug 2015. In August Peruvian cement demand reached 0.868Mt, representing 4.3 per cent decline YoY, according to Asocem, the country's cement association. Pakistan's cement dispatches in August 2016 stood at 3.585Mt, 16.75 per cent higher than dispatches of 3.071Mt recorded during the same month of previous fiscal year, according to the data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). Cement dispatches in Argentina increased by 6.7 per cent YoY in August, according to preliminary figures published by the Argentine cement association, AFCP. The domestic market required the supply of 1,042,862t, up from 977,469t in August 2015.
