Gujarat Sidhee Cement temporarily suspends clinker unit

The clinker unit at Gujarat Sidhee Cement Ltd’ s plant in Sidheegram , Gujarat, Inda, will be temporarily shutdown. The stoppage began on 11 September 2022 and will last for 20 days. No reason has been given for the suspension.

Gujarat Sidhee Cement reports revenue fall

Gujarat Sidhee Cement Ltd (GSCL) has recorded total income of INR1.89bn (US$23.69m) in the quarter ended 30 June 2022, compared to INR2.04bn in the quarter ended 31 March 2022. Net profit over the same period has advanced from INR32.2m to INR54.9m, according to Construction News. Gujarat Sidhee Cement temporarily stops kiln

India-based Gujarat Sidhee Cement Ltd said it has stopped the kiln at its Sidheegram plant for 15-20 days. The stop has been attributed to the plant’s high clinker inventory. Cement grinding and dispatches will continue, according to Reuters.

Gujarat Sidhee Cement to shut clinker line for maintenance

India’s Gujarat Sidhee Cement is planning to shut down the clinker line at its Sidheegram plant for annual maintenance, which is expected to take a period of 17-20 days to complete.   However, cement grinding and dispatches are still planned to continue. 

Gujarat Sidhee Cement posts 28% rise in profit

India’s Gujarat Sidhee Cement Ltd has reported a 27.8 per cent YoY rise in consolidated profit to INR207.9m (US$2.79m) in the 4QFY20-21, up from INR162.7m in the year-ago period. Revenue also increased 17.5 per cent YoY to INR1.94bn from INR1.65bn. In the full-year FY21 period, the company’s profit declined 31.9 per cent to INR305.4m from INR448.3m. Revenue also slipped 3.3 per cent YoY to INR5.66bn from INR5.85bn in the FY19-20.

Gujarat Sidhee Cement resumes cement production

India’s Gujarat Sidhee Cement started up the production of cement again yesterday, in compliance with permission received from the government. The company will comply with directives being issued by the central and state government, as well as local administration, for the safety and wellbeing of its workers. However, the overall impact of the coronavirus upon the company's operations is difficult to assess at present.

Gujarat Sidhee Cement has commissioned a 5.5MW waste heat recovery unit at its plant in Sidheegram, with effect from Sunday. Elsewhere, the company reported positive results for the 3Q17, with sales rising 21.2 per cent YoY to finish at INR1.28bn (US$19.78m). Net profit reached INR46.2m, compared to a net loss of INR43.5m seen in the year-ago period.
