Holcim Argentina warns of gas shortage stopping kilns over winter

Holcim Argentina’s CEO, Christian Dedeu, has warned that clinker production at its plants could come to a halt as he has no guarantee that there will be gas to fire the kilns this coming winter (June-August 2022). “We do not have guaranteed gas for the winter, which puts cement production at risk. Holcim Argentina inaugurates US$120m new line

Holcim Argentina has inaugurated a new line at its Malagueño plant in Cordoba, following an investment of around US$120m. The project included the construction of a new kiln line, a state-of-the-art vertical roller mill and a dispatch centre. Holcim Argentina has named Victor Mariaca as new commercial director. Mr Mariaca held previously commercial positions within Holcim, including regional commercial manager. Holcim Argentina will have a new CEO from January 2020. The company named Christian Dedeu, the first Argentinian to be appointed in the top job.
