PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) recorded a 14.7 per cent increase in cement sales last year, exceeding the country's average increase of 14.5 per cent and representing a 44 per cent market share. Indonesia: cement sales up in Kalimantan

Cement sales of PT Semen Indonesia in Kalimantan rose 11.4 per cent in the period of January to April reaching 1.47Mt. The growth is the third biggest nationally, company spokesman Muhammad Helmi said to newsmen on Tuesday. Indonesian cement sales increased by 8.6 per cent in the four months to the end of April 2013, the latest data from the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) reveals. Sales for the January-April 2013 period reached 18.12Mt compared to 16.68Mt in the same period of last year. Siam Cement Group plans to spend US$1.5bn to expand cement production capacity in Southeast Asia by 4.5Mta over the next two years.
