Gebr Pfeiffer SE wins Saudi order for cement VRM

Chengdu Design & Research Institute of Bldg Materials Industry Co Ltd, headquartered in China, placed an order with Gebr Pfeiffer SE for the supply of an MPS 3070 BC cement mill for Readymix in Saudi Arabia. The mill with an installed drive power of 1100kW will grind 30tph of granulated blastfurnace slag and 46tph of OPC to a fineness of 4000cm²/g and 3600cm²/g, respectively. Delivery of equipment is scheduled for 2015.

Loesche awarded SCG Cement order, Thailand

Loesche has been awarded a contract by SCG Cement to deliver an LM 56.3+3 C vertical roller mill for clinker grinding at the cement producer's plant in Ta Luang, Thailand. ASEC Engineering and Management, a subsidiary of Egypt's Qalaa Holdings (formerly Citadel Capital), has signed a plant management agreement with Ethiopia’s National Cement Share Company. United Cement Company of Nigeria (UNICEM) has ordered the largest Loesche mill to-date, an LM 70.4+4 for its new line at the Calabar cement works. MacGregor, of the Cargotec group, has won a contract from New Times Shipyard, in China, for Intership Navigation Co Ltd's three new 36,500dwt Laker-class bulk carriers. A new cement carrier being built at the Scheepswerf Ferus Smit yard in the Netherlands will feature a six-cylinder Wärtsilä 34DF main engine, making it the first bulk carrier to adopt Wärtsilä’s multi-fuel capability. India-based producer Wonder Cement has placed an order with Gebr Pfeiffer for raw meal and coal mills as part of plans to expand its Tehsil Nimbahera cement works. Wartsila has received an order to supply a turnkey power plant from Saudi-based Umm Al-Qura Cement Co. The contract for the 47MW facility will be located in the mountain desert close to Taif city.
