Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Thailand has reported a cement sales increase between July-September 2018 of 46 per cent, boosted by the government's 'Build, Build, Build' in the Philippines. Siam Cement Group (SCG) expects its growth target for 2018 in Myanmar to be affected by inflation and flooding. Siam Cement posted a six per cent drop in second-quarter profit on Wednesday, hurt by weak seasonal cement demand and its chemical business. Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has increased his stake in Siam Cement Group from 0.8 per cent to 30.8 per cent, and has become the top shareholder. Siam Cement has released its financial results for the full-year period ended 31 December 2017. Revenue reached THB450.9bn (US$14.34bn), an YoY increase of six per cent from THB423.4bn.
