Taiwan Cement Corp, the country’s largest cement maker, yesterday announced a proposal to privatise its TCC International Holdings Ltd (TCCI) subsidiary and delist from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. TCCI has cement operations in several southern Chinese provinces. The Taiwan Cement Corporation has said that it expects to ship 1.1Mt of cement to China in the first quarter of 2017, an increase of two per cent on its performance in 1Q16, the Taipei Times reports. Taiwan Cement Corp announce that it plans to spend CNY676m (US$1117m) to acquire Sichuan Railway Group Cement via a subsidiary as part of its plans to increase its presence in China. Taiwan Cement Corp (TCC) said it expects revenue to rise by 13 per cent in the second half of this year from TWD58.59bn (US$1.96bn) in the first half due to an anticipated rise in sales in the fourth quarter. Taiwan Cement Corp (TCC), one of Taiwan's top cement manufacturers, has retained its position as China’s sixth largest cement producer by capacity.
