Lebap Cement takes delivery of 25 dump trucks

Turkmenistan-based Turkmen Cement plant saw delivery of 25 SYZ320C-8Y dump trucks by SANY in March during the second phase of the 1Mta Lebap cement plant project in Koytendag, The dump trucks have a cargo capacity of 20m 3 and a lifting angle of 45° with front lifting. They are powered by a Yuchai YC6MK400-50 engine and comply to Euro V emission standards. The introduction of the trucks will improve the efficiency and reliability of construction and logistics operations.

Domestic cement sales in Turkey came in at 5.602Mt in December 2023, down 5.5 per cent MoM and 14.9 per cent YoY, according to Turkey’s cement manufacturers association, Türkçimento. Turkey's cement industry requires US$30bn to meet net-zero targets

Representatives for the sector are highlighting that the Turkish cement industry will need at least US$30bn in investments to reach the ambitious goal of net-zero carbon by 2053. Turkey’s Medcem has announced a partnership with Brett Concrete, one of the largest independent concrete companies in the UK, to establish a terminal at Sheerness Port in Kent, UK.
