Cimko Narli cement works, owned by Sanko Holding, has awarded the turnkey contract for a waste heat recovery-based power plant to CTP Team, Italy. Aumund has won a contract by Simona EE Overseas Development to deliver an order or material handling equipment for Limak Çimento Sanayi ve Ticaret, in Turkey. Taiwan Cement Corp (TCC) has announced that it and Sanko Holding AS has signed a memorandum of understanding and a confidentiality clause regarding the company’s intention to invest in the Turkish group. Talks about the strategic partnership are expected to continue until a definitive contract is signed. Taiwan Cement has previously noted its interest in the Turkish cement industry, which would be the company’s first move into the European market.

Cement exports from Cameroon reached 57,459t in 2017, a considerable increase from 19,700t in 2016, according to data released by the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Trade.
