Turkey’s cement exports to the US declined by 5.7 per cent YoY in the first half of 2020, amounting to US$197.7m, according to the Turkish Ministry of Trade. In June 2020 the country’s cement exports to the US increased 24.4 per cent compared to June 2019 and exceeded US$37.1m.

The export of cement from Turkey to Germany increased 4.2 per cent from January-July 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, exceeding US$140.4m, reported the Turkish Ministry of Trade. In June 2020 the export of Turkish cement to France increased by 65.6 per cent YoY, representing a value of US$12.9m, according to the Turkish Ministry of Trade. In the January-May 2020 cement and clinker exports from Turkey surged 37 per cent to 9.8Mt, according to the Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association (TÇMB).
