Cameroon sees exports more than double in 2017

Cement exports from Cameroon reached 57,459t in 2017, a considerable increase from 19,700t in 2016, according to data released by the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Trade. Turkish cement export up 7% in 2017

Turkey's cement exports rose 6.9 per cent YoY to 8Mt in 2017, according to the Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association (TCMB). Turkey produced 81Mt of cement and clinker in 2017, up 6.8 per cent when compared with 2016. Of this total, 9.9 per cent was exported, said the TCMB. Most exports were destined for the USA, but the largest increase in export volumes was to Haiti.

Dinçer Çimento orders two Gebr Pfeiffer mills for Bilecik unit

Dinçer Çimento has ordered a Gebr Pfeiffer MVR 5000 R-4 raw mill and an MPS 250 BK coal mill for its Bilecik plant, Turkey. Featuring a drive power of 3800kW, the MVR 5000 R-4 mill will grind 425tph of raw material to a fineness of 12 per cent R90µm. Turkish petcoke imports are uncompetitive due to lower prices being offered by domestic producers and high freight rates.
