Cement sales in Puerto Rico slipped 2.9 per cent to 46,236.3t (1.084m bags of 42.6kg) in November 2019 when compared with November 2018, when 47,630.6t (1.117m bags) were sold, according to data released by the Economic Development Bank of Puerto Rico. Cement sales in Brazil increased 3.9 per cent YoY in November to 4.7Mt, according to SNIC, the country’s cement association. Cement demand in Morocco increased 12.1 per cent YoY to 1.355Mt in October 2019 when compared with 1.208Mt supplied in October 2018, according to data published by the country’s Ministry of Housing and Urbanisation. Cement sales in Puerto Rico reached 53,570t in October 2019, representing a five per cent increase from 50,973t in October 2019, according to the Instituto Estadísticas de Puerto Rico. Peru’s cement market expanded by 6.7 per cent YoY in October 2019 as demand reached 1.089Mt when compared with 1.021Mt reported in October 2018, according to the latest data published by the country’s cement association, Asocem.
