Total cement sales in Pakistan in February 2017 were 3.435Mt, down by 0.41 per cent from 3.449Mt during the corresponding month of last year, according to the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). Argentina's cement producers dispatched 801,782t of cement in February, a 0.8 per cent drop MoM and 8.7 per cent YoY, according to the Argentine cement producers' association, AFCP. Domestic sales decreased 0.8 per cent YoY to 801,782t in February 2017 from 808,310t in February 2016. Exports increased 9.3 per cent YoY to 6652t from 6084t. Pakistan: export revenue rise MoM but fall YoY

Pakistan cement exporters earned revenues of US$22.26m on exports of 411,257t cement in January 2017, compared to US$16.36m on 309,868t of exports in the previous month. These figures represent a MoM surge in dollar value and volumes of 36.05 per cent and 32.72 per cent, respectively. Vietnam sold 9.4Mt of cement in the first two months of 2017, representing a 0.4 per cent decrease when compared with January-February 2016, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction. The total included 6.8Mt of domestic sales, down 2.7 per cent YoY, and 2.6Mt of clinker and cement exports, a rise of 20.9 per cent YoY. Iran's 11M exports reach 11.5Mt

Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, reported that Iran exported 11.5Mt of cement during the 11 months to 18 February 2017. Mr Nematzadeh expects exports to reach 15Mt, production to hit 60Mt and output capacity to stand at 82.5Mta by the end of the current fiscal year (March 20), IRNA reported.
