Eurocement orders three VRMs from Gebr Pfeiffer

Russia’s Eurocement has ordered three more VRMs for its Akhangaran project in Uzbekistan from Germany-based Gebr Pfeiffer. The order includes an MVR 5000 R-4 for raw material grinding and two MVR 5000 C-4 models for cement grinding. The MVR 5000 R-4 has a total drive power of 2500kW and can grind 500tph of raw material to a fineness of 12 per cent R 90µm. The cement grinding mills, each with an installed drive power of 4000kW, are designed to grind 200tph of OPC at 3200 Blaine.

LafargeHolcim Russia appoints new CEO

LafargeHolcim Russia appointed M Goncharov as the new CEO of the company on 1 March 2019. G Brusco, the former chief executive, has been transferred to the group’s corporate office in Switzerland, according to AK&M. Meanwhile, E Molodtsova was affirmed as the commercial director.

Russian cement producers have manufactured 53.7Mt of cement in 2018, according to Rossnet. This represents a decline of 1.9 per cent when compared to 2017.

Eurocement’s Voronezh plant sees 5% rise in deliveries

Eurocement’s 3.075Mta cement works in Voronezh has increased its cement production by three per cent YoY to 1.87Mt in 2018, according to a company press release. Deliveries rose by five per cent YoY to 1.881Mt in 2018. The plant broke its monthly shipment record twice in the year: in June it shipped 202,000t of cement, followed by 206,000t of delivered product in August.

Rostsement reports RUB20,000 net profit for 2018

Rostsement saw its revenues increase by 25.6 per cent to RUB49.79m (US$738,982) in 2017 when compared with 2016, when the company reported revenues of RUB39.63m. The Russia-based cement producer turned a net loss of RUB2.26m in 2016 to a profit of RUB20,000 by the end of 2018, according to Info-RL. Siberian Cement invests to develop units in 2019

Russia’s Siberian Cement has announced plans to invest RUB4.52bn (US$67.86m) to develop its production units in 2019.
