Asia Cement posts TWD59bn revenue in 8M22

Taiwan-based Asia Cement Corp reported a 1.7 per cent drop in revenues to TWD7.069bn (US$228.5m) in August 2022 when compared with the TWD7.193bn posted in August 2021. In the first eight months of 2022 revenues saw a 8.1 per cent YoY advance from TWD54.657bn to TWD59.103bn.

Asia Cement reports TWD4458m net profit in 2Q22

Taiwan’s Asia Cement Corp posted revenues of TWD24,488m (US$816.3m) in the second quarter of 2022, up 9.2 per cent when compared with the 2Q21.  Pretax profit came in at TWD5620m in the period under review, down 17.4 per cent from TWD6805m in the year-ago period. The company also saw a net profit of TWD4458m in the 2Q22, representing a 1.3 per cent decrease when compared with the 2Q21, when net profit reached TWD4515m.

Taiwan Cement reports 21% hike in July revenue

Taiwan Cement has posted a revenue of TWD10,102.468m (US$336.3m) in July 2022, ,up 21.4 per cent when compared with TWD8,319.972m, , according to a filing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. In the first seven months of 2022, revenues slipped 0.2 per cent to TWD58,247.2m from TWD58,343.336m in the 7M21.

Hsing Ta Cement posts 13% increase in July revenue

Taiwan-based Hsing Ta Cement Co Ltd reported a 13.3 per cent advance in revenue to TWD557.403m (US$18.5m) in July 2022 from TWD492.134m in July 2021, according to a filing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. The company’s revenue in the January-July 2022 period decreased 15 per cent to TWD3562.279m from TWD4189.866m.

Taiwan Cement Corp reported a 7.8 per cent increase in revenue to TWD9145.989m (US$306.5m) in June 2022 from TWD8480.821m in June 2021. However, in the first half of 2022 the company’s revenue slipped 3.8 per cent to TWD48,144.732m from TWD50,023.365m. Chia Hsin Cement’ s revenue increased 8.5 per cent to TWD183.177m in June 2022 from TWD168.756m in June 2021. In the first six months of 2022 Chia Hsin’s revenue slipped from 1094.913m in the 6M21 to TWD1027.363m.

Taiwan cement producers sees dent in revenues in May

Taiwan’s cement producers reported mostly a decrease in revenues in May. Lucky Cement posted a 6.9 per cent YoY drop in May revenue to TWD332.258m (US$11.23m) from TWD357.039m in May 2021. In the first five months of 2022, revenue declined by 11.4 per cent to TWD1548.687m from TWD1748.555m in the January-May period. NHOA SA, formerly Engie EPS, has won an order to deliver a 22MWh battery storage project to  Taiwan Cement Corp (TCC). The system will be an expansion of a 10MW facility being installed at TCC's HePing industrial park. Taiwan-based Asia Cement Corp posted a revenue of TWD19.681bn (US$659.1m) in 1Q22, up 10.1 per cent from TWD17.877bn in the 1Q21. However, pretax profit declined 27.6 per cent to TWD3.434bn in the 1Q22 from TWD4.744bn in the corresponding period of the previous year.
