Uzbek Commodity Exchanges trades 0.944Mt of cement in 2M22

In the January-February 2022 period, Uzbekistan’s Commodity Exchange has traded 943,500t of cement, of which 864,300t, or 91.6 per cent, were sold at an average price of UZS546,700/t. The average monthly sales volume reached 432,200t. Around 32 per cent of the volumes sold was PC II A-K (P-I) 32.5N cement, followed by PC/A-I 32.5N cement, which accounted for 16 per cent of cement sold. Lamanka Enterprises acquires Akhangarancement stake

Cyprus-based Lamanka Enterprises Ltd has reportedly bought 84.197 per cent of the shares in Akhangarancement JSC in Uzbekistan. The stake was acquired for UZS557.6bn (US$52.7m) according to Uzbekistan Daily. In March 2021, Eurocement Holding AG announced its plan to sell a block of shares in Akhangarancement. The price was set at UZS103,593.05 but the block of shares was sold at a rpice of UZS134,671.68.

Eurocement begins auction for 84.2% stake in plant

Russia's Eurocement has begun an open auction to sell an 84.19 per cent stake in its Akhangarancement plant in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The company is expected to sell 4,141,108 ordinary shares of the plant for a total value of UZS428.99bn (US$40.76m), according to a statement on the Republican Stock Exchange Tashkent.

Eurocement has completed the installation of the rotary kiln housing at its 3Mta Akhangarancement project in Uzbekistan, according to a press release. Akhangarancement records 29% production increase in 7M19

Uzbekistan’s Akhangarancement has recorded a 29 per cent YoY increase in production for the first seven months of 2019, reaching 1.1Mt of cement. The company also shipped 34 per cent more products to customers. In July alone, 190,349t of cement was shipped, the company’s best result since 2013. The growth in production and shipping indicators was also felt in the quarry of the plant, which mined over 1Mt of limestone between January-July 2019.
