Lesser sales hit profit of Kohat Cement in 1HFY19-20

Kohat Cement Co Ltd (KOHC) has reported a YoY drop of 93.6 per cent in profit for the half year ended 31 December 2019. It reported a profit after tax of PKR97m (US$0.62m) compared to PKR1.526bn in the corresponding period last year. Kohat Cement commissions 7800tpd kiln line

Kohat Cement Company Ltd (KOHC) informed Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on 27 January 2020 that it has successfully commenced commercial operations from its brownfield grey kiln line of 7800tpd, including waste heat recovery power plant, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.   A company notification says that after setting up of this additional line, the total installed cement production capacity of the company has enhanced from 2,953,500tpa to 5,293,500tpa.

Kohat Cement and Fecto Cement have announced their financial results for the year ended 30 June 2019. Both companies' profits declined, mainly due to  increase in cost of sale and other factors. Kohat Cement Company Ltd (KCCL) has informed Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) that the Board of Directors have appointed Aizaz Mansoor Sheikh as Chairman and Nadeem Atta Sheikh as CEO for a term of three years commencing from 8 July 2019. Kohat Cement Co Ltd (KCCL) has announced its financial results for the half year ended 31 December 2018, declaring a net profit for the period of PKR1.526bn (US$10.9m), a fall of 7.17 per cent YoY, as compared to PKR1.644bn in the same period last year. Cement exports sliding for the last five years to Afghanistan

Export of cement from Pakistan to Afghanistan through land routes has started dwindling from the fiscal year 2010-11. Kohat Cement expansion works on schedule

The installation of Kohat Cement Co Ltd's new 7800tpd grey cement line is making good progress at the existing plant in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, according to the company's directors' report. Almost 70 per cent of the plant has been shipped by the supplier. Civil and erection works are progressing as scheduled, the 1QFY19 reported added.
