Nuvoco Vistas appoints new MD

India’s Nuvoco Vistas Corp Ltd has announced the appointment of Jayakumar Krishnaswamy as its managing director with immediate effect. Mr Krishnaswamy will be responsible for the company’s three business divisions of cement, ready-mix and aggregates. Mr Krishnaswamy had previously worked as the managing director of AkzoNobel India, a paints and coating manufacturing company, and was responsible for its operations in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, according to a press release.

Dalmia appoints Ujjwal Batria as COO

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd has appointed Ujjwal Batria as COO of the company. Mr Batria will lead the operation of sales and marketing, logistics, manufacturing and technical services departments, according to the company. Mr Batria has previously served as CEO of Lafarge India Ltd, alongside associations with Century Textiles & Industries Ltd and Tata Steel.

Nuvoco Vistas plans 5-10% rise in specialised cement range

Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd, previously known as Lafarge India, is planning a 5-10 per cent rise in specialised cement to its product range over the next two years. Value-added products and cost cuts across its plants are expected to benefit the company's topline, according to The Telegraph.
