Oman Cement reports flat net profit in 9M21

Oman Cement has posted a net profit after tax of OMR2.8m (US$7.28m) in the first nine months of the year, which is flat compared to OMR2.8m seen in the year-ago period. Total revenue for January-September 2021 was down 9.3 per cent YoY to OMR35.3m from OMR38.9m in the 9M20.

Raysut Cement Co plans Duqm grinding plant start up for 4Q21

Raysut Cement Co's (RCC) US$30m Duqm grinding unit in Oman will come on-stream in the 4Q21. Oman Cement plans brownfield project

Oman Cement is reportedly planning to proceed with a brownfield expansion of its cement works, which would see it increase clinker capacity to 15,000tpd from 8700tpd. The company is expected to construct a new 10,000tpd line and upgrade its Line 3 from 4000tpd to 5000tpd, while decommissioning its two older lines. It has contracted PEG Resources (Switzerland) to carry out the technical study, alongside the tendering and contracting process.

Oman Cement has posted a 4.8 per cent decline in net profit to OMR2m (US$5.2m) in the first half of 2021, compared to OMR2.1m in the year-ago period. Total revenue fell 9.1 per cent YoY to OMR24m from OMR26.4m in the 1H20.

Raysut Cement sees net loss contract in 1H21

Oman’s Raysut Cement Co has seen its net loss after tax contract to OMR3.2m (US$8.3m) in the first half of 2021, compared to OMR10.9m in the same period of last year. Total revenue remained largely consistent YoY at OMR45m from OMR44.8m in the 1H20.

Oman Cement Co has reported a 15.8 per cent decline in total revenue to OMR11.76m (US$30.6m) in the first quarter of 2021, compared to OMR13.9m in the 1Q20. Net profit also fell 33 per cent YoY to OMR756,290 from OMR1.13m in the year-ago period.

Raysut Cement announces 5% rise in revenue

Oman’s Raysut Cement Co has reported a five per cent increase in total revenue to OMR26.9m (US$69.95m) in the first quarter of 2021, compared to OMR25.6m in the year-ago period. The company also returned to a profit after tax of OMR102,814 against a loss of OMR4m in the 1Q20.

Raysut Cement granted CE and NF markings

Oman Cement Co has reportedly received commercial bids from EPC contractors for its integrated cement plant in Duqm, according to Muscat Daily. The 5000tpd project is expected to represent an investment of US$250m.
