UltraTech commissions solar plant at Dalla24 February 2023, Published under Cement NewsUltraTech Cement inaugurated a 9.50MWp DC solar power plant at its Dalla plant as part of drive to source its energy from 100 per cent renewable energy sources by 2050. The total power consumption of the plant is currently approximately 27MW and the new solar power plant accounts for around a third of this demand, according to Dalla’s plant manager, Rahul Saighal. It is expected that the 1MW reduction of coal-based power consumption will lower CO2 emissions by 820kg. |

UltraTech commissions 1.5Mta Odisha unit07 February 2023, Published under Cement NewsUltraTech Cement (part of the Aditya Birla Group ) has commissioned a 1.5Mta brownfield cement grinding unit in Jharsuguda , Odisha, expanding the existing works, according to The Hindu. This latest addition will take the company’s total cement capacity in Odisha to 4.1Mta and puts its total cement production capacity for India as a whole at122.85Mta. By FY22-23 UltraTech's capacity is forecast to reach 159.25Mta once all current expansion programmes are completed. |
