Iran’s cement consumption saw a 1.2 per cent uptick YoY to 5.79Mt in September 2022 from 5.72Mt, according to the Iranian Cement Association. Cement dispatches in Peru slipped one per cent to 1.229Mt in September 2022 from 1.235Mt in September 2021, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Brazilian total cement sales declined by 3.8 per cent YoY to 5.5Mt, according to the country’s cement association, SNIC. Per working day, sales fell by 3.5 per cent YoY to 238,000t. Argentina’s cement market expanded 9.2 per cent YoY but contracted 1.1 per cent MoM to 1,212,814t in September 2022, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. Domestic producers manufactured 1,217,796t of cement, up 8.6 per cent YoY but down 1.1 per cent MoM. Pakistan's cement industry has recorded a YoY fall of 6.83 per cent in dispatches during September 2022, with total cement dispatches (local and exports) shrinking to 4.276Mt from 4.589Mt in the same month of last fiscal year, says data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). Kazakhstan's Steppe Cement Ltd has posted a nine per cent YoY increase in revenue in the 3Q22. Revenue came in at KZT13,071m (US$27.7m) compared to KZT12,045m in the same period last year. Cement production in Italy fell by 13 per cent YoY in July 2021, according to the country’s construction chamber, Federbeton. When compared with the 2015 base index production the value increased from 94 in June 2022 to 100 in July.
