Total cement deliveries in Vietnam reached 7,110,132t in March, representing a YoY increase of 25 per cent and a MoM advance of 101 per cent, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Tunisia-based Carthage Cement has improved its export turnover in the first quarter of 2022. Exports were up 32 per cent YoY to TND65m (US$21.8m). Cement dispatches in Peru increased eight per cent YoY to 1.173Mt in March 2022, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. In March 2021 dispatches were at a level of 1.089Mt. Tajikistan plans to increase cement exports to 2Mt by 2024, with an annual growth of 200,000t, according to the latest forecast of key macroeconomic indicators for the country. Argentina’s cement demand increased 7.5 per cent YoY to 1,047,194t in March 2022 when compared with March 2021, when consumption reached 974,347t, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP.
