Iranian cement consumption increased by 32.2 per cent to 7.09Mt in July 2023 when compared with July 2022, according to the Iranian Cement Association. Cement sales in Vietnam declined by 18 per cent to 4,655,526t in July 2023 when compared with July 2022, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Peruvian cement dispatches fell by 6.5 per cent to 1.013Mt in July 2023 when compared with July 2022 when dispatches stood at 1.084Mt, according to the country’s cement association, ASOCEM. Tajikistan has reported cement production of 2.1Mt in the opening six months of 2023. Of this total, more than 538,000t were exported, down 138,000t compared to the same period a year earlier. Pakistan recorded a considerable growth of 57.4 per cent in cement dispatches in July 2023, when total cement dispatches totalled 3.21Mt against 2.04Mt dispatched in July 2022.
