Senegalese cement sales see 6% upturn in January

In January 2022 Senegal’s cement market expanded 8.9 per cent when compared with December 2021 and 6.2 per cent when compared with January 2021, says the country’s National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD). Export sales declined 31.7 per cent MoM and 18.1 per cent YoY in January 2022.

According to the data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), Pakistan cement total dispatches (local and overseas) declined by 6.3 per cent in March 2022 to 5.04Mt against 5.37Mt in the same month of last fiscal year. Holcim -owned Lafarge Algérie has exported nearly 0.9Mta of cement and clinker in the first quarter of 2022. The volume represents an 87 per cent rise when compared with the 1Q21, when 482,000t of products were exported. Total domestic cement sales in Vietnam reached 3,538,333t in February 2022, up 39 per cent YoY but down 14 per cent when compared with January 2022, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Cement dispatches in Peru reached 1.088Mt in February 2022, up five per cent when compared with February 2021, according to the Peruvian cement association, Asocem. Iran's cement market expands 5% MoM in February

Iranian cement consumption reached 4.43Mt in February 2022, supplied entirely by the domestic industry, according to the Iranian Cement Association. This represents a 5.2 per cent increase when compared with January 2022. While cement production stood at 4.43Mt (+5.2 per cent MoM), clinker output reached 4.83Mt (-7.6 per cent MoM). The country exported 1.084Mt of clinker and 0.326Mt of cement in February 2022, representing MoM increases of 33.8 and 35.8 per cent, respectively.
