Cherat Cement Co Ltd (CHCC) has informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange Ltd (PSX) that the Board of Directors of the company, in its meeting held on 24 June 2021, has approved a greenfield cement plant installation at DI Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. The city of Al-Bayda in Libya will be the location of a 4000tpd greenfield cement plant. Ali Hussein, the city mayor, has held a meeting with a number of German investors in the presence of several businessmen from the city to examine the possibility of establishing a cement factory within the municipality. Singapore-based Credera has announced that it will invest US$20m in a stake in a new 5000tpd cement plant in Myanmar, Deal Street Asia reports.
