Birla Corp to increase availability of premium product

Birla Corp is planning to roll-out its premium-brand product, Perfect, across all regions of India apart from the South. QNCC to increase capacity in 2H18

Qatar National Cement Company (QNCC) is expected to increase its production capacity by 5500tpd during 2H18, due to the start-up of a new plant later in the year. The company also announced that its total production of OPC and SRC cement decreased to 3.5Mt in the 2017 full-year period, compared to 3.7Mt of the previous year. Pakistan-based Fecto Cement Ltd has announced plans to construct a 6000tpd greenfield plant and a 9MW waste heat recovery (WHR) power plant in Palai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Cement prices have risen in Uganda since the start of the year, with wholesale prices now between UGX29,000-30,500 (US$7.90-8.40)/bag.
