Peru’s cement market expanded by 4.7 per cent YoY in December 2021 to 1.275Mt when compared with the previous year’s December month, when consumption reached 1.218Mt, according to the country’s cement association Asocem. Cement dispatches in Peru increased three per cent YoY and 21 per cent when compared with November 2019 to 1.208Mt, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. Domestic cement deliveries in Peru edged up two per cent to 1.264Mt in October 2021 when compared with October 2020, according to Peruvian cement association, Asocem. Peru-based Cementos Pacasmayo has reported a 24.5 per cent YoY increase in revenues to PEN507.2m (US$127m) in the 3Q21, on the back of higher sales volumes of cement, concrete and precast, and an increase in cement and concrete prices, in line with cost inflation. Cement dispatches in Peru advanced 14 per cent YoY and three per cent MoM to 1.238Mt in September, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association.
